TAHITIAN OTEA IN VIBRANT MORE' SKIRT

CULTURAL PERFORMANCES

The colorful and authentic performances consist of the breathtaking dances and songs of Polynesia with a lively audience participation AT PRICES THAT CAN'T BE MATCHED BY ANYONE. All presentations are performed to the accompaniment of only the finest Polynesian music, and in lavish costuming. We'll even set the theme with props and mood music, and our evening shows further transport you to your island paradise with ambient lighting.

LEI/HAKU MAKING STATION includes mood music, 1 demonstrator with enough fresh flowers for up to 20 guests. Instruction lasts 60 minutes and teaches participants how to make their own lei. Your choice of quantity and type of flower;

Orchid; white, purple, green or lavender; Plumeria rainbow, pink or yellow; Dianthus/Mini Carnation; pink red or purple.

PACIFIC SHELL GREETING for up to 100 guests (includes Shell Necklaces, 1-2 greeters and mood music): 30 minutes

FRESH FLOWER LEI GREETING for guests (includes mood music, fragrant flower lei and 1-2 greeters). Your choice of the following single strand lei; Tuberose (white); Dianthus/mini Carnation (red, white, purple or pink); Orchid (lavender or white) or floral variety of your choice, dependent on availability: 30 minutes

HAPPY SMILES AT A LEI MAKING PARTY

HULA HALAU HO'OPALAMA performances include songs, dances & costuming from Tahiti, Hawaii, Samoa and New Zealand. The conch shell trumpet and rhythmic drums announce the start of your journey through our South Pacific islands:

Hawaii: Graceful movements with the hands or use of colorful percussion implements tell stories about life in the islands.

Tahiti: Wearing beautiful headdresses, floral embellishments, pareu or more` skirt and hand tassels, the dancers perform Aparima and Otea moving their hips to soft Tahitian guitars and pulsating drum beats.

New Zealand: Maori poi balls or flaming poi balls are twirled and swung to form patterns in a high-energy presentation. Haka or greeting dances are also performed to tell different stories of the Maori people and their migration to the islands.

Samoa: Siva tells a story in Samoa. Dances are performed with Lapa sticks and hand movements, and the breathtaking fire dance displays beauty and spectacle while a dancer maneuvers burning flames to the beat of Samoan drum rhythms.
